中国青年生物化学与分子生物学专业委员,中华预防医学会媒介生物学及控制分会蚊虫学组委员,美国Society of Entomology会员。福建省“五四青年奖章”获得者,入选福建省高校杰出青年科研人才计划、福建省新世纪人才及福建农林大学拔尖人才,获得福建农林大学第二届“严家显最高奖教金”。1999年起从事杀虫微生物资源筛选、杀虫机理及应用研究,是国家863、国家自然科学基金和卫生部科研基金等课题的主要执行者。主持国家自然科学青年基金、教育部博士点青年基金、福建省高校杰出青年科研人才计划等课题。以第1发明人获得授权国家发明专利7项,正在申报国际专利1项,已通过国际查新。以第1/通讯作者发表SCI收录论文21篇。独立指导的本科生连续四届(第十二至十五届)获得全国大学生“挑战杯”竞赛一/二等奖及福建省大学生“挑战杯”竞赛特/一等奖。培养的学生多人次获得国家奖学金、严家显奖学金、校三好生等荣誉
